After meeting you today, I rushed home to look up your website. After listening to your sample xmas music, I[ll have to catch a live performance, and get some of your CD's. Somewhere in your guestbook, I saw that there were at least five. Just talking to you I saw your sparkling eyes and smile, and enjoyed your quick wit. To see that all on stage with your wonderful voice, must be over powering From your list yu have a wide selection of my favorite songs, but I look forward to hearing some of your original songs.

Terrific music! While doing some sleuthing for a book project that will involve my family history here in the Adirondack Mountains, I came up with Lynn Brownell on a Google search. My mother's Brownell ancestors arrived in these mountains around 1800, which made them among the first settlers. Even the Indians never settled these frosty, stony peaks and valleys. Anyhow, all American Brownells may descend from a Thomas and Anne who came over from Yorkshire to Rhode Island in the early 17th century. We are likely very distant cousins. More info about me and my family on my website, www.edwardkanze.com. I listened to several of Lynn's clips. They are brilliant. (My grandfather, Burdett Brownell, had a brother named Lynn.) All the best, Ed

Anita told me you had a website so I thought I better check it out. You are tooooo cool. Would love to hear you play and sing some time. Have to tell you - a week or so after the party, I was doing laundry, picked up my black Harley Poker shirt - laughed and thought it would probably smell all wood smoky - held it up to my face ......and it smelled good...... Thanks for that, Lynn!!!
I had a good time talking to you and Anita after everyone else had left - hope we can all gather around another fire in the future some time. Hope all is well with you.

Hello Lynn! You sound great and it is nice to see the KARE 11 clip. I'm glad you got to have a career in music, as I remember how much you loved it. Your passion for music comes through your singing. Glad you're back home, too!

I'm finally listening to your CD & looking at your website.
When I put on your CD last night, my husband thought I was playing Anne Murray. FUNNY. I'll concede your range and phrasing are similar, but your instrument has a much more beautiful sound---and you put much more soul into it. Your singing reminds me a little of Karen Carpenter. I was a huge fan. And I also think of Basia. (Have you heard her stuff? She had one hit in the 80's.)
Your covers are some of my favorites. I was just singing On and On the other day while getting ready for work. I like some of your covers even better than the originals: so far, Don't Know Why I Didn't Call and Landslide (also better than the Smashing Pumpkins cover, which I liked a lot). I had to sing that one all the time when my daughter moved to Baltimore to go to school.
Do you teach voice and piano?

Sue Bender recently mentioned you'd be back in the Twin Cities soon.
Just read your latest guestbook, sorry to hear about your father with the 12/22/06 response from Linda.
Comments from her, along with your passionite fire of life indicates he may have helped instill a lot of strength and sense for growth in you alone along with having quite a presence himself.
He may have achieved more than most would in two lifetimes.
I'm sorry for your loss and wish you and your family well.

Lynn,
I got your e-mail comment 12/22. Apparently, Hazeltine's server does not talk to aol. I will be traveling to see my mom (89) tommorow (Saturday 12/23) and returning Tuesday evening. I will retain your numbers and stay in touch.
I could never get into your web site before. Ron tried his hardest to get me there, but I was never able to have it just right. I even tried to google you! Thanks for this information.
Your Dad was Extra Special, as you know. I am so thankful for meeting him through you. He made an impact with everyone. When I told the staff I was leaving to go to a funeral, they too, remembered the sweet guy that played for us and helped out whenever he was asked.
Stay strong and support your Mom. I hope to stay in touch with you Home (952) 937-8085. No, I do not have a cell phone. I am getting weaker though!

Dear Lynn,
Still running? Would you run the New York Marathon with me? What about the Tokyo Marathon? (I worked in Osaka, Japan for a couple of years as a patent attorney.) After Carleton, I ran in Boulder for the summer, came back to the Twin Cities, went out dancing, literally bumped into you, and look what you have accomplished since!

Lynn,
This morning I decided to listen to a small tape of yours (only has 4 songs) that I bought from you when you lived in Mpls on Bryant Ave. Since that time, I hadn't heard your name or knew where you went. Today I decided to look you up on the Internet--what a surprise! It was great to find your site and know that you were still singing. Maybe you will come to Mpls again sometime. Thanks for the music!!
